SECURITY COUNCIL (SC)
The Security Council is one of the six main organs of the United Nations and is responsible for maintaining international peace and security. It has the authority to make binding decisions, impose sanctions, and authorize the use of force. Composed of fifteen member states, including five permanent members with veto power, the Security Council plays a central role in addressing global conflicts and crises.
