SECURITY COUNCIL (SC)
The Security Council is one of the six main organs of the United Nations and is responsible for maintaining international peace and security. It has the authority to make binding decisions, impose sanctions, and authorize the use of force. Composed of fifteen member states, including five permanent members with veto power, the Security Council plays a central role in addressing global conflicts and crises.
PRESIDENT BIO
Hi everyone! My name is Aly Abo El Ella, and I’m the President of the Security Council for CACMUN 47. My MUN journey started back in CACMUN 44, and since then, I’ve participated in several conferences that taught me so much about diplomacy, leadership, and teamwork. This being my final conference makes it extra special, and I’m beyond excited to see the intense debates and creative solutions that will come out of committee. I can’t wait to work with you all!

Hi everyone! My name is Zeina Aboughali, and I’m currently in 11th grade at Cairo American College. This is my second time chairing a Model United Nations conference, and I’m thrilled to be serving as the Assistant President of the Security Council. MUN has helped me grow as a leader and develop a strong passion for international relations and global security. I’m looking forward to engaging debates, creative resolutions, and an exciting experience with all of you!

Hey everyone! My name is Mohamed Rabie, and I’m the Assistant President for the Security Council at CACMUN 47. I currently serve as the DSG of Academics at SASMUN and have attended 12 conferences, with this being my fourth time chairing. I’m thrilled to be here and contribute to making this conference an engaging and memorable experience for all delegates.
