HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL (HRC)

The Human Rights Council specializes in debating and developing resolutions about pertinent topics relating to the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights. By focusing the rights of the individual on a global scale, HRC sheds light on human rights violations through both macro and micro lenses.

Hi! My name is Sumayya Zewail and I'll be serving as your co-chair for CACMUN this year. I've been participating in MUN for a few years now and I have found passion in doing so. I hope I can pass down my knowledge and excitement to you and make sure you have a great conference, and I'm here to answer all your questions whenever you need. See you in the conference!

Hello, my name is Karim Mahlab, I will be acting as Chair of HRC in CACMUN47. In HRC, we hope to have open and engaging discussions about real on-going human rights issues while encouraging everyone to share ideas and work together on practical solutions. Our goal is to make sure every delegate feels heard and leaves with a better understanding of the world around them. I look forward to meeting you all and hearing your perspectives during the conference.
