ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL COMMITTEE (ECOFIN)
The Economic and Financial Committee (ECOFIN), also known as the General Assembly Second Committee (GA2), is a core body of the United Nations General Assembly. It addresses a wide range of global economic and financial issues, including sustainable development, international trade, poverty eradication, and financing for development. ECOFIN has recently been introduced as a new addition to the CACMUN conference.

Hello everyone, I’m Ali Hefzy, and I’ll be your main chair for ECOFIN this conference. MUN has been a big part of my high school life, and it’s something I’ve genuinely enjoyed over the years. I’m looking forward to seeing some great debates, interesting ideas, and getting to know all of you throughout the conference!

Hey everyone, I’m Hania El Oksh, and I’ll be your ECOFIN Deputy Chair for the upcoming conference. MUN has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me, and with this being my 10th conference, I can confidently say it never gets old. Every conference brings something new to learn and enjoy, with a mix of challenge, growth, and fun.
